The international developer Orascom Development Holding AG (Switzerland) is examining construction investment opportunities in Ukraine, the Kommersant-Ukraina business daily has said. The majority owner of the company is Egyptian billionaire Samih Sawiris.

The investment opportunities in question were on the agenda of a meeting between Ukrainian Minister of Regional Development and Construction Vasyl Kuybida and the ambassador of Egypt in Ukraine, Yasser Atef.

As the ambassador said, Orascom Development is ready to finance construction projects in which Ukrainian construction companies would be engaged as contractors.

Orascom Development Holding AG was founded in 1989, and after the reorganization in 2008, it opened its head office in Switzerland.
