The Slovene investment company P&S Group plans to invest nearly 20-30 million euros in small and medium enterprises (SME) in Ukraine, the managing partner and founder of the company, Dean Mikolic, has said.
"Small and medium enterprises in the EU are the foundation of the economy, generating 30-40% of the GDP. In Ukraine, this economic segment produces not more than 5-6% of the GDP. We believe that successful transformation of post-Soviet countries, including Slovenia, was made possible exactly thanks to the development of small and medium enterprises," he said.
He also said that P&S Group would streamline its investments in Ukraine in such sectors as pharmacy, logistics, financial services, IT and waste recycling.
The company plans to invest in SME with the annual turnover of less than 200 million euros.
