Starbucks eyeing Ukraine

Starbucks may enter Ukraine, the Kommersant-Ukraina business daily has said.

Starbucks Coffee Company is examining locations for coffee shops in Ukraine.

"We will look closely at good locations in Ukrainian city centers," Rosann Williams, the deputy president of Starbucks in EMEA region, said.

The company is looking to develop a potential chain in CEE, but there are no firm plans in place yet.

Starbucks Coffee Company was founded in 1971. Its chain currently includes over 7,000 coffee shops in 44 countries of the world. The company's 2008 turnover reached 5.74 billion dollars, EBIDTA 512.9 million dollars.
