EKO LLC (Kyiv) plans to open at least seven supermarkets in Ukraine by the end of 2009, thus bringing the total number of outlets to 70.
The first opening this year is expected in May in Bucha, Kyiv Region, to be followed by Sumy and Fastov by the end of summer.
Today EKO consists of 63 supermarkets in 23 cities of Ukraine. Earlier the company announced plans to open 20 supermarkets in 2009.
In April 2009, the company plans to complete the acquisition of a Ukrainian retail chain whose name is not disclosed.
